Cake decoration class - March 2013

Hi all...Pink Swan Vegetarian Cakes will be having a cake decorating class in March 2013 by Urmylla Krishnan of Urmy's Cakes.

There will be 4 different decoration classes ie:-

1) Doll Cake - RM250.00 - Saturday, 9 Mar 2013, 9am-1pm
2) Cupcakes - RM180.00 - Saturday, 9 Mar 2013, 2.30pm - 5.30pm
3) Butterfly cake - RM300.00 - Sunday, 10 Mar 2013, 9am - 1pm
4) Wedding cake - RM350.00 - Sunday, 10 Mar 2013, 1.30pm - 5.30pm

But if you register for all 4 classes, you will be entitled to a package price of RM850.00 only!

Beginners' Buttercream Workshop on 6 Jan 2013

Dear friends, 

Pink Swan Vegetarian Cakes is proud to present "Buttercream Workshop for beginners" conducted by Urmylla Krishnan.


 Urmylla is an award-winning cake designer, baker and decorator from Perth, Western Australia. With an experience of 12 years, she has won several prestigious awards for her cake decorating abilities.

Details of the workshop is as follows:-

Temple of Fine Arts,
114-116 Jalan Berhala, Brickfields, 50470 Kuala Lumpur.

Fee : RM500.00

In this workshop, you will learn how to:-
  • Make buttercream icing
  • Prepare piping bags
  •  How to use covplers
  • Level your cake and prepare it for decorating
  • Cover your cake with buttercream icing
  • Mix colors into the buttercream icing using liquid and gel colors,
  • Pipe dots, Snail's trail, Shell borders, Drop flower, Rosettes, Ruffles, Leaves, Grass, Basket-weave, Vines, Writing, Hearts, Clowns, Cornelli Lace and Buttercream Roses.
  • Use edible images
Participants need to bring:-
  1. Apron
  2. Take away containers - 5(min size 650ml)
  3.  Scissors
  4. Bread knife (Long knife)
  5. Paper towels / Kitchen towel

Items participants take home:
  1. 9” round cake
  2. Turntable
  3. 1 Long flat spatula,
  4. 1 short angled spatula
  5. 5 piping bags
  6. Board for piping work
  7. 2 couplers
  8. 1 Flower Nail
  9. 1 piece of Edible sticker
  10. 2 Clown heads
